<p>The <strong>Federal Government of Nigeria</strong> has declared <strong>Friday, September 5, 2025</strong>, a <strong>public holiday</strong> to mark <strong>Eid-ul-Mawlid</strong>, the celebration of the birth of <strong>Prophet Muhammad (SAW)</strong>.</p>

<p>In a statement released on Wednesday, the <strong>Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Interior, Dr. Magdalene Ajani</strong>, announced the holiday on behalf of the <strong>Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo</strong>.</p>

<p>Furthermore, Nigerians of all faiths were urged to use the celebration to pray for <strong>peace, unity, and stability</strong> in the country.</p>

<p>Dr. Tunji-Ojo specifically called on the Muslim Ummah—and Nigerians at large—to embrace the spirit of <strong>patience, sacrifice, and resilience</strong> during this period.</p>
